The ancestors are talking to us and Jess is one who shows up humble, with an open heart, ready to receive the messages and willing to learn and share knowledge to mend minds, bodies and spirits in the community.
Their herbal knowledge stems from her bloodline, and it's in their bones, it’s ancestral and it belongs to all of us. They studied herbalism from a decolonial framework at the People's Medicine School, a program centering Black, Indigenous, people of color and queer & trans experiences.
As a directing member at Splinter Collective, Jess brings this perspective and wisdom, along with their previous experience in nonprofit horizontal-leadership, to help guide the non-profit & other organizations towards their mission of promoting collective wellness. They actively contribute to shaping the culture and ensuring that organizational guidelines align with the values and principles of the community.
